Another poppy ..

Yes, I promised to do more with this beautiful stamp - so here it is!

I must admit, I am always in LOVE with poppy stamps!
And this one is a real pretty one, don't you agree?!

I've used a stamp of a poem 'Voetstappen in het zand' as script in the background.
I'm sure you will recognize this poem, about footprints in the sand, God carrying you when needed.
I also stamped the whole poem on the inside of the card - it's always so comforting to read this poem, also knowing that our Creator carries us when things are too tough in our lives!

... and maybe you've guessed already : I've used my acrylic block to stamp the background. I've used custom made pearl spray to do so.

One more card to come with this poppy stamp (Inkerbell stamps)
.. my favorite of the three cards:
always save the best for last, hehe.

A poppy in the wind...

A winelabel (yes, from Jacqueline from France) was the base for the background. Gesso, a stencil and the beautiful poppy and sentiment stamp make for the end result!..

I am going to show you 2 more cards with the poppy stamp in near future!

Use a stencil for your background ...

... yes, a new stencil from TCW!
It is the (TCW579) Sheet music 6x6 stencil:

I actually never start this early on christmas cards,
but when I saw this stencil I had to use it - for this purpose!

I'll share another card Monday, same stencil, other stamp!

The stamp is the 'Mistletoe' from Magenta!

My first session.... with Nuance!

You may notice - I've enjoyed using Nuance!
The colors are so vibrant.
On this card I have tapped the Nuance on an acrylic block, misted it with water to be able to stamp with the Nuance.

Some more samples with the same two colors:

 2 ATC's

and a card..

My first impressions of this product in comparison with other powdered color..
* The crystals are not that chunky. So you get the choice to have it get dissolved totally by water on your paper, or still get the result of the chrystals of color to show.
* Also: the colors are SO vibrant!  Happy te be using this product.
* Then to add one more impression - It is SO pigmented with color... you have too much of it way too soon. Just a few crystals gives a lot of color.
* Just as with a few other coloured powders/crystals colors, the purplish and green color I have used here, has more than one color in the crystals, so if you don't overspray (which will mix and blend the colors in it) too much, you will see the colors of the crystals next to each other.

That's a lot of advantages for a first session with this new product from Magenta, don't you think??

I plan to do (lots) more projects SOON, making a bunch of projects again with the same colors; other colors than the ones I have used today of course.
I am sure I will be discovering a LOT of advantages still... HAPPY!

Two primary colors ...

Bistre again!
This time I've used an acrylic block to 'stamp' the red and blue bistre onto the background.
After it had dried, I splattered with some of the remaining bistre.

Reminder for the challenge at Craft Stamper !

Remember?  ...the TIMI challenge for September 2015 is 'Take A Stamp'
so, anything goes actually
.... as long as there is a stamped image on your creation somewhere,
you're good to go!

My second take on the theme:
I've used a collage stamp again!

The coloring has been done with the Elegant Writer from Speedball (LOVE this marker) and a watercolor pencil ...

Just been playing ..

....with a beautiful stencil from TCW,
and stamps from Inkerbell Stamps and la Blanche!

A bit CAS, but it suits me!

Stencils make for easy backgrounds!
I used two, the TCW537 Tiled Flower 6x6

The script I've used here is of an unknown brand (to me) .

Baby oil resist stamping..

We discuss a technique every month on the dutch STEMPEL-ATC Yahoo group, and Paula Kwakernaak came up with the idea of stamping with baby oil.

I am entering the above ATC in the challenge of
Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge - make it colorful.

LOVE the subltle resist when stamping with baby oil!
WARNING - I think it's good to clean your stamp thoroughly after stamping with baby oil!

On most of the ATC's I sponged with various colors of distress ink.
I am entering above ATC in the challenge on Lost Coast challenges - single layer project

On this one I used a custom made pearl spray.

New challenge at Craft Stamper !

The theme of the TIMI challenge for September 2015 is 'Take A Stamp'....
so, anything goes actually
.... as long as there is a stamped image on your creation somewhere,
you're good to go!

My take on the theme:
Just stamping ? What is better than to use a collage stamp?
This is a rather BIG stamp... this bookmark measures 21 cm in height!
The coloring has been done with the Elegant Writer from Speedball (LOVE this marker) and a watercolor pencil (tulip)!

Challenge for Magenta - Autumn !

YES yes, a new Magenta challenge - autumn?
It's still summery here, but autumn will soon be taking over, I think.

I used this very versatile stamp (own design!) to create a card and an ATC.

The card above is a mix of acrylic paints amd heat embossing, and of course: stamping.
The ATC is stamping with (mixed) distress inks from the craftsheet.
That's always a winner as it blends the colors so nicely together (and you can make multiple prints as long the inks don't turn muddy).
To achieve this worn effect don't make the inks on the craft sheet too wet
... that gives the worn effect
... WORN you said?
YES, that's what autumn is about, worn, but beautiful.
I LOVE seedheads because of that!

COME JOIN!

Create a Card, a Layout, an Art Journal page, or even an altered object; whichever you feel like, and follow the theme. Use some Magenta products such as: papers, stamps, embellishments, Peel Off's, chipboard, stencils, etc.

Be sure to link back to the Magenta challenge here.
The winner will be drawn randomly from the participant's linked up entries.
Challenge projects that catch Magenta's eye will be featured in the winner post.
It's fun...
