"Pimp het" voor .... / "Alter It" for ...

...FSC!
PSSSS!!!! (for my dutch followers)
LOL)
...FSC! Come join in the fun, still 5 days or so left!!
I am on the catwalk today, for you, for inspiration, so let's go!
****

KLAAR!

It's been a simple white cardboard box, waiting to be altered! I found it on a flea market.
I painted the bottom part of it with black gesso.
HOW TO make the lid:
Paint with white gesso to start off. Adhere some music-bookpaper to the top. Paint it with water-diluted white acrylic paint. Leave to dry. Scribble some watercolorcrayons onto it. Paint with water-diluted whiet acrylic paint to blend the colors. Leave to dry. Stamp the violet stamp various times onto blotting paper. Cut it out. Arrange them all on the lid, and adhere with gel medium. Leave to dry thoroughly. Color the flowers with watercolorpencil.
To set the colors, I sprayed it with some hair-spray! DONE!

Hero Arts wants YOU to "stamp your story"...

Hero Arts wants you to "stamp your story".
I don't really have a story to tell, but I think the card does have its
own story. My LOVE for gesso, embossing powder and messing around, some
bookpaper, torn paper, beautiful stamps and inks do the rest!
That's my story...

 *****

.....and A Blog Named Hero wants you to 'Clean your Act', CAS in other words! That's a real challenge for me, my fingers are still itching to make it less CAS! ..... and that's the theme at Art Journal Journey: challenge yourself!

On the wild side...

NEW challenge at TIOT "On the wild side" (featuring birds and/or animals)

I stamped the script with Twinkling H2O's, LOVE it, It's all shimmery. I got it as a gift from Jolande van Oosterhout, on one of our crafting-together-days! Yes Jolande, I have been using it, more to come! THANKS again!
The horses stamp from PSX is a stamp I borrowed from Eileen Godwin, HOW KIND IS THAT!, and made some beautiful cards-in-spe with it, to be used in future! This is ONE of them!

Come join us in the fun!

Seahorse tag... a step-by-step

Today a step-by-step to make this tag.
As you will see the tag has been created in a process. Trial and error, and go with the flow.
*****

Apply gesso randomly to a tag. Leave to dry.

Sponge over it with the shown colors of Adirondack inks. Splatter with water, and dab with a dry cloth.

Stamp some shells and text with the colors Pool and Citrus. Heat emboss it with clear embossing. I had a happy accident here, part of the sponging wasn't dry yet, so it gives part of the tag some shimmer.

Heat emboss the seahorse with black embossing powder. Do some black stamping ( text and branches). As you can see in the next picture I took the black stamped shell away with some Stazon cleaner. (Luckily this was not a problem because this part of the tag was covered with clear embossing).

At this stage I decided the tag needed a bottom, so I tore it and adhered it again to show the torn edge, Stamp shells onto seperate paper, color and cut it out. I made some bubbles by circling some of the white dots from the water splatters with a greyish watercolor-pencil.

Adhere the shells to the tag, color some thread. Finish the tag off as shown.

A close-up.
