My Creative Monday for Magenta.. two times floral

All about stamping and color today.

I stamped my own design, the watercolor background, Large Floral Backgroundwith a dark color and then used Nuance powders to color it randomly.

I so love the versatality of this stamp.

To enhance the flowers, I added some white with an acrylic marker.

Another version of the large floral background in action. I accidently opened the containers and had too much powder on the project: I had no choice: use it.

PS .. the frame stamp is from Hero Arts.. I had to use it for the assembling of these cards..

Colour in my world - Indian summer colors !

The back cover of my (full!) art journal.

I tested Paper-Artsy's rusting powder on the diecut word TIME, and it worked out great. I applied it over wet texture paste, and had to wait for the rust. It really smells like rust, so I imagine it's real rust!

I am entering this in the challenge on :

Making some more fabric paper! YES really!

I've created another BIG background using this fabulous tutorial from Liesbeth Fidder for Paper Artsy.
Only thing I changed was I added some watered down gesso to mute the colors a bit, before adding the acrylics, and it's not autumnal themed.

I captured some parts of it:

 9 inchies:

I've made 7 cards of 10 x 10 pieces, and will use the other parts later on.

Now I will need to experiment with the tutorial from Anneke as well... making fabric paper from tissue and delicate papers ... !! I think I need to use my new paints from Art Anthology for this as well, most of them have a beautiful shimmer,

About the products I've used:
Stencils from Art Anthology and Magenta,
script stamp from Hero Arts,
diecuts from Simon Says Stamp, Stampers Anonymus and Memory Box,
acrylic paints from Paper Artsy and Golden.

Fabulous flowers

I've had a nice play with the Nuance powders from Magenta for the background ... en then it was ready to stamp on it.
The sentiment is from Inkerbell Stamps.

Heerlijk kliederen met Nuance poeders van Magenta voor de achtergrond... en dan heerlijk erop stempelen!
Het sentiment is van Inkerbell Stamps, van de sheet HieperdepiepHoera.

Combinations of green and pink - 1

I played with a lot of stencils lately, and want to show you these creations.
Today the first one,
on Monday the second one with a BRAND new stencil from TCW!

....  both happen to have mostly green and pink colors on them.

Please don't ask me to list the stencils I've used on this card, LOL.
What I like about this one is that, even when you sponge a lot of layers with a lot of different stencils in different colors, in the end it turns out to be a background.
So, go grab your stencils and PLAY!
The sentiment is from Inkerbell Stamps, the script form Hero Arts.
The flowers are recycled from a postcard... LOVE doing that sometimes if it fits nicely on a background.

The Original Documented Life Project - 8

I am doing the Original Documented life project, the February theme being:
Layers You Will Love!
Art challenge for the 5th week:  Repeating Elements
The prompt is: It's Worth Repeating

Repeating the colors in different areas..
Reapeating the leftovers from the 'mixed media die' from Tim Holtz:
yes, I adhered every single dot... it's paper, not a stencil and structure paste.  ...

Repeating the script stamp from Hero Arts. ...

Repeating the images,.. 3 of them... from a paper napkin (decoupage)

Nature always intrigues me..

The background was created from the leftover piece of paper
from ironing off some clear embossing powder. That's why the script is backwards- doesn't bother me... I like it..
It acts as a resist for the sponged distress inls.

I am entering this in the challenge on
1. Hero Arts -  nature
