Card made with crepe paper

I colored the background with colored crepe paper.
It gives such beautiful unexpected results.
I always ask for tiny leftovers from the local primary school, they have lots in paper waist bins!

From a leftover of the background, I made an ATC, so if you'd like to see it, it's here

Another week is gone, so here comes Katzelkraft!

I decided to make another gift! This is a little booklet, about 10 x 10 cm.
I also created a small card to go with it... to write some nice words in it for the recipient.

-  please keep in mind that the greens are very dificult to capture, it's not as yellowish as it shows here-

THE GIFT SET!

The base is watercolor paper: Spray it with two colors Colorwash, lettuce and denim.
Stamp the collage clock stamp with a similar color green, to just stand out, but being part of the background.
Stamp the pocket watch with a solvent brown ink, and (quickly!) pour some clear embossing powder on; heat set it.
Stamp the same pocketwatch in a blueish color, after you've masked the first stamped image.  Stamp the text with a solvent brown ink also. Stamp the text in a blueish color as well, to get a shadow.
Color the watch with the same blue as you stamped with, and add some additional color with a rust-color watercolorpencil.
Only at this stage I attached the paper to the outside of the booklet, and trimmed the edges. Color the edges with brown solvent ink.
The stamping for the card is the same as for the booklet.

Katzelkraft day for me!

I started by stamping the boat with StazOn Timber Brown.
Color the image with some watercolor pencils.

Mask the image, and also tear some post-it notes to create a frame around the CS- see photo above.
Spray a little bit goosebumps on the CS.
Sponge the background with 'stormy sky' and 'pine needles' distress inks.
Cover the parts with petroleum jelly you don't want acrylic paint on , and paint some white acrylic paint over the entire piece. When dry, take a dry cloth and wipe away the petroleum jelly, which will also take away parts of the acrylic paint. Take the masking off and adhere it to a card.

KATZELKRAFT DAY again - time flies!

I made three candles - to brighten the darker days of December !
I have always wanted to give this a try, so now was the time... One thing less on my TO DO list.. LOL

I used blotting-paper to stamp the images from the Fleurs stamp set on, with a darkbrown solvent ink. I coloured them with watercolor pencils, and distressed the bottom line with green and brown.  Tear the top line off the blotting paper.

****
Glue the blotting paper onto the candle with a glue stick, just to get it to stay in place.
Heat it with a heattool to melt the outer part of the candle (just a little bit!), and smooth out the blotting paper onto the candle.

I think I am going to make lots more to give away as a gift!
Enjoy STAMPING!
