My Creative Monday for Magenta - kraft paper

Today I'd like to share an easy technique for creating on Kraft paper.

I found some inspiration on the internet and gave it my own twitch.
This technique can easily be used on regular white paper as well.

 A card and an ATC.

To do: White splatters with an old acrylic marker, white around the edges and within the leaves with a white pigment ink. Finish it off with an acrylic marker adding doodling on the leaves.

This ATC is going into my technique box with number 412. I wrote on the back what the technique is about, with a link to the internet.

I hope you find this a useful and fun technique!

2018 #16 Reinkers: Garden Love on Paper Artsy blog!

2018 Topic 16: Reinkers

Just a sneak peek: I've used a pigment re-inker to make a very unique background.

Go have a look on the Paper Artsy blog, and pleaaaase ...  while you're there
I would like you to leave me a comment 😉😀,
 I need some new energy for my next PA post;
this was certainly a project that took a lot of thinking and also a starting over!

I am entering this in the challenge on

Mixed Media Art Journal page

HI !
My first post at Art Anthology is up today!
I am thrilled and honoured to be able to show you a creation with some gorgeous products from Art Anthology!!

I created a double page in my art journal.
That meant play time, of course!
And messy fingers!

I've made this art journal by recycling an old book, by ripping every second page out of the book, and gluing 2 pages to each other, and I've torn all the edges off the paper.
That makes every page unique to start with!

For more photo's you
will have to check it out on the website of Art Anthology!

We'll have to accept another autumn..

... not that I don't like the colors.. but I like the warmth of summer more.

Today I have a card and an ATC for you using pigment inks on fabric.
It's really easy to do but I think I will have to look into this technique some more.. I think there is much more to discover. I might even try stamping onto fabric directly.
Stamp the images on tissue wrap with various colors pigment ink, and heat emboss with clear. Adhere a part of it to the fabric with decoupage glue . Assemble as shown.
On the card I also added 3 cross-stitches.
I used a leftover on an ATC:

ATC's can hold a lot of techniques - 9

For some basics on using stencils, I tried all sorts of techniques on ATC's.
Today number 9.

Here is how you make this background:
Position your stencil onto the cardstock.
Apply pigment inks direct-to-paper, and stamp a script over it when dry.
Sponge some distress inks around the edges to give it more depth.

This is how you make this background:
Sponge different colors pigment ink onto your stencil, mist with water, and 'stamp' with the stencil onto cardstock.
Leave to dry.
Stamp a script randomly over the background.

Katzelkraft time!

It's autumn here, with the beautiful colors that go with it. I just LOVE
the vibrant colors in this season.
I also just LOVE these stamps, just 2 little stamps, and a text, and
VOILA, two book tags.... some gorgeous little gifts to go with a
birthday present.
I started off with a bookpage with gesso and some left-over ink from cleaning the craftsheet after making another project.

 Tag 2

I've done heat embossing with clear embossing powder on all the leaves, here you can see it ! It adds shine to the leaves, and make them pop.

Hero Arts wants YOU to "stamp your story"...

Hero Arts wants you to "stamp your story".
I don't really have a story to tell, but I think the card does have its
own story. My LOVE for gesso, embossing powder and messing around, some
bookpaper, torn paper, beautiful stamps and inks do the rest!
That's my story...

.....and A Blog Named Hero wants you to 'Clean your Act', CAS in other words! That's a real challenge for me, my fingers are still itching to make it less CAS! ..... and that's the theme at Art Journal Journey: challenge yourself!
