The Original Documented Life Project: - 5

I am doing the Original Documented life projectthe January theme being:
The Blank Page and How to Face It!
Art challenge for the 5th week:  Under Paper
The prompt is: What Lies Beneath?

****

I am enterimg this art journal page of approx 20 by 25 cm in the following challenge:
1. Craft StamperStencilling
2. Our creative corner - tic tac toe - I chose paints, stamps and stencils.

The underpaper that I wanted to use, was just too smal, so I tore strokes, and adhered it to the page to make it fit.
A thin layer of gesso was applied over it to tie everything together...

With use of a gold structure paste and punchinella I made some circles. I was not happy with it, so smeared it over the page to get this golden shine over the background, and removed some of it with the punchinella and a wet cloth. Further coloring was done with distress inks that coordinated with the original colors in the underpaper.

Now the fun started, yes, with my new stamps and stencil from Designs by Ryn!!
I added white structure paste over the beautiful maidenhair stencil, while drying it took up some color from the underlying distress inks.
I added stamping of the water droplets, and colored some of them with a watercolorpencil, and of course added some highlights with a acrylic marker.

Only thing I missed now was a script, but Ryn does not have scriptstamps, so I grabbed one from Art Journey. I stamped the leaves with it over the stencil.

In real life it's way more colorful, and shimmery.

Art Journal with theme - WISE WORDS

"THE EYES ARE THE WONDOWS OF THE SOUL"

****
I used an old postcard with this eye on it. I tore the edges of it, and used gesso to 'hide' the edge.
As I had to cover part of the eyelashes with gesso, as there was a dark shadow underneath it, I drew them in a later stage with a Grafx marker.

The edge of the journal page was sponged with different colors distress ink,
and heat embossed with clear embossing powder!
No stamping this time...

This page has been inspired by the theme of week 47 on Journal52 - wise words.

Guest Designer at Indigoblu.....for LET IT SNOW

YES... I was asked to be a guest designer at Indigoblu...
as inspiration for their challenge, LET IT SNOW

Being chosen as 1 of the top3, is of course, an inspiration to keep going on my art journey, and enjoy crafting. I have been joining in the Indigoblu challenge lots of times, and always hoped to be chosen, and then suddenly it happens with a card I'm not really happy with,  LOL
Then the theme was a bit of a struggle... having only flowers, a butterfly and bubbles stamps from Indigoblu... and the theme being LET IT SNOW... I had to put my thinking caps on..
I thought of the saying "snowflakes are the flowers of winter... ",

I started with a beautiful shimmery scrapbookpaper with lots of white snowflakes on it.
I sponged it with Distress inks to make the snowflakes pop.
From a leftover piece I cut a few snowflakes to adhere it to the card later on.
I chose to keep the flowers not that intense with color, so it became part of the background.
They were adhered to the card with 3D glue.
I also added some 'Crystal Ice' ICE Stickles to the centres of the flowers and snowflakes.
Pity you can't see all the glamour and bling going on on this card.

I am entering this in the following challenge:
1. Indigoblu - let it snow.
2. Simon says Stamp - wednesday challenge - bling it on
3. TIOT - winter whites
4. Stampotique designers challenge  - SDC 176 anything goes
