Crafty Individuals play - SHELLS

 The shells were heat embossed in white on most of these cards and ATC's.

I'll add additional notes to each of them for the coloring and final touches. 

I've used Nuance pigment powders to color it; finished it of with watercolor pencil for more depth. 

Final finishing touch on this one are the bladder red watercolor splatters.

This card was colored with distress inks.

I added stamped script for the final touch, and some red splatters, just to add a little extra color. 

These ATC's were also sponged with distress inks. 

Nothing fancy but very dramatic.. 

.. and ready for trading at an arts show!

Stamped in brown this time.. 
the color was added with watercolor, watercolor pencils, and aqua markers,.
Added touches of white with an acrylic marker  add highlights for more depth of course.
The (white) splatters as a final touch again. 

...AND on all of them a scribbly border around the paper-distressed card front with a brown fineliner.

Guest designing for Rubberdance!!

Guest designing is always a honour to me, and I want to thank Susanne for this chance to feature her beautiful stamps!

Today a series of five cards... with this beautiful set from Rubberdance; the Doodle Flowers set.

I totally went for the images, and 'forgot' to use the monthly color for September.

ENJOY.. I added some details through the post.  

Starting with a colorful watercolored background  is always a good start. 

I chose to stamp right onto the background, and not fussycut the main images. I used Versafine black and heat embossed it in clear.  

Masking the main image and stamp in the background with the leaf images, using a stamping platform. This way I could add some watered down white Fresco acrylic paint to the images, and restamp again after the paint had dried.

For the final touch I added color to the main images with Twinkling H2O watercolors and added some white to the images with a white acrylic marker and a gelpen.  

The watercolor splatters,
the Vintage Script and
number (from Butterfly Girl Postoid stamp)
in the background gives it some more depth.

Pan Pastel meets Kraft cardstock. ..

Having gorgeous stamps from Sheena Douglas (Crafter's Companion), kraft cardstock and Pan Pastel.. makes a pretty recipy.
The PP border around the images look almost fluorescent on the picture, but IRL it's just blueish and more in the background.

... een mooi recept.
Het randje PP rondom de vogel en bloem komen haast fluorescent over op de foto, maar is in het echt gewoon lichtblauw, en meer in de achtergrond. 

Dit mocht ik weer maken als guest designer van Crafter's Companion!!

Een art journal pagina met de stoere wolf stempel van Crafter's Companion.. ik gebruikte ook een stencil van CC in de achtergrond! 

De achtergrond is gemaakt met Bister.

Kingfisher ..

I did some Guest designing for Crafter's Companion with these beautiful kingfisher stamps ;
I chose to make an Art Journal page with it, and a Gelliplate print as the starting base. 

A wolf... silence...

A wolf.. . standing in the cold snow, while the sun is about to go down... silence ..

The first range is without the added blue... which one you like most? I love the white one, without the blue on the snow and in the sky most...
