My Creative Monday for Magenta - a sandpiper

Stamping with a colored ink changes the way one looks at stamps. Here the blue instantly gave the water it's color I wanted. Using a stamp positioner made it easy to stamp the bird in black to make it pop. I also added some black to the water and used other black stamping to make a collage of the stamping ..

I LOVE using postage stamps..
... apart from the cancel postage stamps also a ticket stapled to the card.

My Creative Monday for Magenta - art journaling on gelliprint

I adhered this gelliprint from my stash in my art journal as a starting point.

I stamped the Fall Leaf Twig on the page to create a border down the bottom of the spread.  I covered the spread with a transparent gesso.
Splattering white acrylic paint is always fun.. it turns out to be everywhere on my craft sheet...

I added color to the leaves and the gelliprint's background with watercolor pencils. I drew white around the images with an acrylic marker to make them pop.

I finished it off with some journaling by stamping the Good Friends sentiment stamp on a strip of leftover gelliprint paper.

... some close ups...

You can see the bubble stamp and the flowery mask on the gelliprint .

I LOVE to just play in my art journal; it's not always a masterpiece, but who cares?!

Have fun creating!

My Creative Monday for Magenta - kraft paper

Today I'd like to share an easy technique for creating on Kraft paper.

I found some inspiration on the internet and gave it my own twitch.
This technique can easily be used on regular white paper as well.

 A card and an ATC.

To do: White splatters with an old acrylic marker, white around the edges and within the leaves with a white pigment ink. Finish it off with an acrylic marker adding doodling on the leaves.

This ATC is going into my technique box with number 412. I wrote on the back what the technique is about, with a link to the internet.

I hope you find this a useful and fun technique!

IENIEMINIE - TINY Art - book 27

I am entering this in the challenge from Art Journey - AJC #108 ienieminie/ tiny art

I have wanted to create a book like this for a long time now, and decided to make it now for the challenge of Art Journey.

I used a torn piece of gelliprinted paper to be the 'page', and stamped all the images from the INSECTS stamp set.

This is also a book in my series of bookmaking for series 52:

 book 27
This time a book with a spool and stamped images on the paper.

Here are some photographs of book 26 and 27:

IENIEMINIE - TINY Art - book 26

I made a tiny little booklet approx 5 x 5 centimeters with hand binded double folded watercolor paper, leftover from card we use on the Art Specially Event for demoing with Magenta.

The covers are from tiny little canvasses, and fabric adhered to it to cover the front and back and spine. I added some beads to the thread that is wrapped around the booklet for closure.

Inside collaged stamped images with faux postage stamps created with rubber stamps from Art Journey.

I used a mask to be able to sponge within the centre of the faux stamp.

The backside.

I used a lot of stamp sets and chose images that would fit the tiny pages and faux stamps.

Images of the faux stamps:
