My Creative Monday for Magenta - Happy Tree

There is quite a lot of shimmer going on on the card, it's almost as if the sun is just behind the tree.

I added glitter to the diecut word, and in the background as little dots.

I stamped the tree with various stamping inks in browns and greens; in a stamping platform of course, to be able to layer the stamped colors.

I fussycut the main part and the word from the same background paper, so they match.

Dahlia floiwer stamp ... a TIP!

Do you want to stamp just a part of a stamp darker ?
Grab yourself a piece of copy paper and tear out a part as big as the size you want to be stamped darker.
Now lay this mask over your catstock (in your stamping tool!), ink up your stamp and stamp it onto the crdstock over the mask.
Remove the mask, and without reinking, stamp the image again. This will create a lighter stamped border around the main part. I've used a red watercolor pencil to color the image.
A TIP: Leave it to dry, and then add a wash of yellow randomly to give the red more depth.

This is what my mask looked like:

Hope you liked it? Let me know in a reaction .. thanks!

Close to nature...

Stamp is from Penny Black! It's so gorgeous to be able to stamp up the stamp multiple times with a stamping tool.

Summery flowers..

While enjoying the warmer sunny days, there is always the joy of exploring nature. I am a nature-minded person, so I enjoy it to the full!

Background has been made with a gelliplate and Nuance powders.
I've used a stamping tool,  to first stamp the image. I filled the image with white acrylic paint, let it dry, and stamped the image again. I stamped the image in the background with second-generation stamping.

I added some color to the centres of the flowers with coloring pencils.

The bliss of Sorbets and Velvets!

An easy but so versatile technique: use your acrylic blok to stamp (or smoosh) paint onto paper,
or any other surface for that matter.

It's an all shimmery yummy textural happy background!

... AND you can actually stamp in the wet paint too!
With a script stamp for example!

The first finished card!

The second one:

Only difference with the previous one (except for the color) : I misted the paint ánd the cardstock with water before smoooooooshing.

Lazy days of summer are nearly over!

For more info on the technique itself, please see the Snapguide tutorial I created JUST for you!
