Colorful Flowery Cards

Two cards from a single sheet of a monoprint from me today!

I LOVE how this A4 sheet turned out, with all the stamping into the wet paint.

Guess what I've made with the leftover piece?
I rolled it to be paper beads; two centimeters wide ones starting it off with a strip of 30 by 2 centimeter of white paper. I like making them like this as now it has a white core, and I don't need a big leftover piece of colorful paper to make it sturdy. They have not been glazed yet and I am sure they will look marvelous then. I might add some script stamped to it still... make them match the background of the cards more.

As the backgrounds are quite colorful, I just added a fussy cut stamped image, and some words from a sentiment set.

 I colored the flowers with a watercolor pencil, added more of the green and yellow into the background to match the flowers.

Have a nice weekend!

2018 #19 Tissue Paper: Happy Tulips with ECF {by Ellie Knol}

2018 Topic 17: Tissue Paper

I am up on the Paper Artsy blog tonight..
go check and find all the info on how I did this.

Every fortnight Paper Artsy has a theme on their blog
 and several DT members show their take on the theme during the fortnight;
what's more, there is a challenge too, and a prize to be won of course!

The embellishments were made with clay, and some of them stamped into while still wet.

This fortnight the theme is TISSUE PAPER!!
LOVE to work with it!!

Book 12 - for series 52

week 12 : book 12.

I chose to make a booklet with a simple binding, a strap of thread around it, and this thread was used to bind the paper to the cover with 3 holes; a knot on the inside of the book.

It measures 10,5 x 10,5 centimeters.

The cover has been decorated with a part of a gelliprint.

I've colored the thread with the same blue acrylic paint that I've used on the print.

'NOTE' has been stamped with blue ink and heat embossed in clear.
It has been stamped with an alphabet from Magenta.

I LOVE how it has turned out.

Even the bead looks as if it has been created just for this book.. it's a recycled one...

I am entering this in the challenge on
1. series 52 - just a play with creating a book every week; a challenge I set to myself.

12 tags of 2015 - March

 Some fun techniques this month!
HAD to try it.

It's turned out very different to Tim's, but that's what it is about, isn't it?

I used gold and white embossingpowder to color the structure paste. to get he dark and light of the tag back into balance. Just gold would've been too monotone, and this way the dragonfly gets highlighted.
