Playing with Minx shimmering inks – no 4

I decided to make backgrounds with Minx Shimmering Inks, on all types of paper.
It is really easy, and relaxing to do while enjoying the sun...

****

I've been on vacation for a week... (more to come).... and did take some crafty stash with me, of course.

On an old table: using a bucket of water and paper, and of course ... Minx, I created a whole bunch of backgrounds.

I did not need a heattool to dry them, the sun did the drying for me.

****

Today I show you what I've made with the backgrounds that started as just plain old white paper.

For more information please see the
Snapguide I created:

Check out How to Make Shimmery Backgrounds With Minx by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

Next time I'll show the ones that had some white heat embossing, gesso and acrylic paint on it before coloring with Minx.

Diecuts can be fun ..

.. but the waste of it too!

I've used the waste part of the cardstock from cutting with a die for this card.

Just cut it to size to fit over a colorful background.
You can see (part of) the diecut itself on the right hand side.
Fussycut the flower and assemble it as shown!

LOVE this effect, and it's a FUN way to create a card!

The making of ... a booklet

For Art Anthology I'd like to share the making of a booklet today, the covers particularly...

...using Colorations spray, Copper Stone Effects and Tuxedo Velvet paint.....

..although I intended to make 4 cards with embossing in combination with the beautiful sprays and paints from Art Anthology.

****
The very early stage of the background - heat embossed in clear on a clocks embossed watercolor paper.

I used corrugated cardboard for the front and back cover.

The copper metal effect adds to the stenciled words.

Time to assemble...

....the finished project. The inside pages have been cut to size from a not-used-but-second-hand photo album...

It will make for a nice and personal gift.. ..to be used as a booklet for photographs, art journaling or maybe just to make some notes.

Did not know I was going to end up with this :)
LOVE it...
