Mixed Media card with a bird

I am still very happy with this (own design) stamp from Magenta. It's really a stamp which does not need anything extra.
The background has been built up with bookpaper, tissue paper, gesso, acrylic paint, leftover structure paste on a stencil from an earlier project, glue drops; just messy and a lot of layers. I had to stamp the bird an odd 5 times to get a clear stamped image because of all the layered structure.

When I started I did not have any plan, just started with a piece of cardstock with some leftover structure paint from a stencil. I adhered some wrapping paper, didn't like it, then covered it partially with stamped tissue paper, covered that up with Gesso, etc etc. The color is from Distress ink Tea Dye.

Hope you like it!

A color I don't choose that often..

On a Facebook Group I am on, we had to use a color we don't use often, and a seahorse on the project.
I went for the gorgeous seahorse stamp from Designs By Ryn of course... and the color you won't see me use much is violet.
Actually, I discovered that there is no color I don't like at all.
I LOVE violet in combination with blues, as colors in Hydrangeas are really a favorite of mine, how couldn't it be!?!

So, to be true, this was a real challenge for me, colorwise.

The coloring has been done with Nuance from Magenta.. Black, and Violet... The blue has been added with a watercolor pencil, just a hint of it!
The bubbles are also from Designs By Ryn.
The stamp I heat embossed in whoite is from Stampers Anonymus, an alltime favourite as far as I am concerned.

With Sympathy...

The sentiment is a new stamp; one from the newest release!
The beautiful foliage stamp is still one of my favorites!! A golden oldie!!

The background has been made with a gelliplate and Nuance powders.
I fussy cut the flowers after stamping it on a seperate piece of cardstock and adhered them over the stamped image on the background. It makes them stand out more.

Zonnebloemen..

Soms kun je zo naar een beetje zon verlangen, en dan is het fijn dat je gewoon heerlijk met gele tinten, en gele zonnebloemen, kunt spelen.

How to Use a Face Stencil

Do you have to have drawing skills to add a face to a page? NO, not if you have these beautiful Face-It stack of stencils from Art Anthology!
I've created a page to show that. I do need some practice with these faces though!

For a tutorial, see the Snapguide at the end of the post.

A close-up of the collaged images.

Stamped script to connect the face and the rest of the page.

Mayan Velvet Dimensional paint adds interest to the hearts of the flowers.

I've created a Snapguide tutorial for you:

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'd love to hear what you think of this page. I know I still have to practice!!
I hope that I have inspired you to create something pretty today!
