My Creative Monday for Magenta - Two colorful Tulip collages II

Still in the tulip theme, just as previous two Mondays..

This time I did a makeover of the two cards from last week
.. same background... fussycut flower adhered over the top !
I left the leaves as is.

This week's first card ...
versus
... last week's card below!

Isn't it beautiful as well?
The flower has been stamped in a stamping platform, applying color to it with watercolor markers and reapplying and restamping again and again.. starting with an overall orange red to the darker red and even black in some areas.

****

This week's second card ...
versus
...the second card below from last week: a more yellowish tulip.

The flower has been stamped in a stamping platform, applying color to the stamp with watercolor markers and reapplying and restamping again and again.. starting with an overall lighter red, misting with water before stamping;  to the darker reds in some areas; no black!
I added a very light yellow with a colored pencil to the surface to make it more interesting..

Why did I do this?
I was not sure which version I liked better, and decided I would show both versions.. why not?

Bird collage for Rubber Dance

The HOW to of this delightful birdie card ...

- Create a gelprint with different colors of green and stamping in it with a custom made 'stamp' of buttons.
- Stamp the bird image onto this background as shown and create a mask of it on sticky paper.

- Mask the bird and sponge around the bird with a dark green, stamp a script in a dark color, stamp the bubble wrap with different greens. These steps will make the bird pop.
- Stamp the sentiment and the postage cancel stamp in a dark color as shown.
- Color the bird with different yellow watercolor pencils to add more depth to it.

This birdie enjoys the spring .. are you?

My Creative Monday for Magenta - Two colorful Tulip collages

The HOW TO:
.. Sprinkle the Nuance color crystals onto household wrap . Mist it with water. Lay the card on top, fold the edges of the foil around the edges of the cardstock. turn it to see what the color is doing on the paper, press with your fingers onto the plastic to move the color, and blending some of it in the process, and leave to dry. After it has dried, remove the household wrap.

I colored the tulip with Nuance powders, and some additional color highlights with alcohol markers and watercolor pencils.

****
For the second background I've used the same process, but instead of household wrap I used aluminium foil.

I colored the tulip with Nuance powders, and some additional color highlights with alcohol markers and watercolor pencils.
Blue shading around the stamped image pop more.

My Creative Monday for Magenta - Tulip Collage

The gorgeous mandala stamp is so perfect for a colorful background.
I added color to the stamp with Ecoline watercolor markers, misted it with water and stamped it onto white cardstock.

The script in the background gets tied to the focal fussycut tulip as I stamped both in a dark purple.
I colored the tulip with Twinkling H2O colors.

An elegant colorful card, just perfect for the time of year.

Colorful Sketchy Flowers art journal cover

The cover of a gelli printed paper journal from me today for Rubber Dance Stamps.

I had fun playing on the gelliplate with these flowery stamps!

I've added one fussy cut flower stamped onto white paper to the collage and a sentiment.

The berries were also given some extra color; and the hearts of all the flowers, to make them pop more.

Challenge for Rubber Dance : prize to be won!

New challenge for Rubber Dance Stamps!

OK.. I have to confess : the 6 fell off, while photographing.
I intentionally only put a TINY dot of glue to the numbers as I don't know whether I will use it for a 36th birthday.
Shows you that it could be for another age as well :)

The moodboard is only for inspiration, any creation in the album on FB for this challenge will be in the draw for the prize!
