A flowery tag!

I made a tag today!

I started by brushing on some gesso to the tag, as a base-coat, trying not to cover the entire surface. With a brass stencil I added texture on the left bottom side with some texture paste. I attached pieces of text (stamped on blotting paper) with decoupage glue. I stamped some words to cover one side of the tag. I colored the tag with watercolorcrayons, and to blend it, painted it with watered down gesso. This step makes the background less definite.

I stamped the flowers twice with a darker black, and multiple times with a lighter black, all done with masking the flowers of course.
I coloured the flowers with watercolorpencils.

"Pimp het" voor .... / "Alter It" for ...

...FSC!
PSSSS!!!! (for my dutch followers)
LOL)
...FSC! Come join in the fun, still 5 days or so left!!
I am on the catwalk today, for you, for inspiration, so let's go!

KLAAR!

It's been a simple white cardboard box, waiting to be altered! I found it on a flea market.
I painted the bottom part of it with black gesso.
HOW TO make the lid:
Paint with white gesso to start off. Adhere some music-bookpaper to the top. Paint it with water-diluted white acrylic paint. Leave to dry. Scribble some watercolorcrayons onto it. Paint with water-diluted whiet acrylic paint to blend the colors. Leave to dry. Stamp the violet stamp various times onto blotting paper. Cut it out. Arrange them all on the lid, and adhere with gel medium. Leave to dry thoroughly. Color the flowers with watercolorpencil.
To set the colors, I sprayed it with some hair-spray! DONE!

Try It On Tuesday - Let's get inky! NEW DT for me!

I've been asked how I made this -so adding it now :
I started with some scrapbookpaper. I stamped on it, colored the images, and as you can see from the labels of the post,  I've been sponging with distress inks, applied some Gesso through punchinella, added some tissuepaper with text on it with decoupage, and kept messing around until I was happy with it.

Most of the times I don't remember how I made it afterwards- it's one of a kind! Won't be able to get it twice the same!

YES, that's right, I am on the DT for TIOT also now, I've been entering in their challenges for a long time; time to get involved LOL
' Let's Get Inky' is the challenge this fortnight.

(HE)art journal 2012 challenge - March - Beeswax

I made this for :
1. HEart Journal 2012, for March, which mainly is about stamping in UTEE, but here I used beeswax. !

I made this heart first (before the one in the previous post), and at that time chose to use beeswax instead of  UTEE.  After I'd finished this, I decided to also give it a try with UTEE. I actually love both ways.

KATZELKRAFT DAY again - time flies!

I made three candles - to brighten the darker days of December !
I have always wanted to give this a try, so now was the time... One thing less on my TO DO list.. LOL

I used blotting-paper to stamp the images from the Fleurs stamp set on, with a darkbrown solvent ink. I coloured them with watercolor pencils, and distressed the bottom line with green and brown.  Tear the top line off the blotting paper.

****
Glue the blotting paper onto the candle with a glue stick, just to get it to stay in place.
Heat it with a heattool to melt the outer part of the candle (just a little bit!), and smooth out the blotting paper onto the candle.

I think I am going to make lots more to give away as a gift!
Enjoy STAMPING!

Een ATC voor de Stempel-ATC groep / An ATC for the Stempel-ATC group

LOL
****
Another ATC with the tissuepaper technique on the Stempel-ATC yahoo group. There's sugar underneath the tissue paper LOL

Een babykaart / A babycard

This card I made by glueing rumpled tissue paper onto crapbookpaper. (Tissue paper technique).  I sponged it on two sides with Distress Ink #Tea Dye. I made the edge a bit darker with black ink. I stamped "BABY" on a bit of left-over paper, which had blue ink on it. It was stamped with the scrabble alphabetstamps from De Stempelwinkel. The picture is from a catalogue from a toy shop.
