Spring is in the air!

The background has been made with colored crepe paper. When you wet it when laid on other cardstock, it will color the cardstock very randomly, and also blend the colors.
I splashed some white with a white acrylic marker - one that doesn't write that well anymore, but still gives splashes.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. IndigoBlu challenge - spring is in the air!

2. Stampotique SDC245 - Circles

3. Spots, Dots and Splashes on TIOT.

4. The Artistic Stamper - collage

5. The Mixed Media Monthly challenge - butterflies ans blooms

Voorjaarsbloemen...

Artistieke vrijheid?

Springflowers..the new theme at Pan Pastel BNL.
I chose to cut the 2 words into spring and flowers... spring always comes with beautiful shades of fresh green, and flowers always come with it too. These flowers never show up in spring, but only in August, so no spring flowers, and never green...
Artistic freedom?

Voor deze kaart heb ik een aantal groene kleuren PanPastel gebruikt/
I used the following green colors
Panpastel Bright Yellow Green 680.5
Panpastel Permanent Green 640.5
Panpastel Permanent Green Shade 640.3
Panpastel Chromium Oxide Green 660.5
Panpastel Phthalo Green 620.5

I am entering this in the challenge on
1. Indigoblu -  spring greens
I knew I was going to use this beautiful image, with a hint of green for your challenge, and when I saw the theme at PP BNL, I knew I had to... .
Just a pity I had to wait so long to show it to you as I could only show this on my blog today..  (my DT day)

Guest Designer at Indigoblu.....for LET IT SNOW

YES... I was asked to be a guest designer at Indigoblu...
as inspiration for their challenge, LET IT SNOW

Being chosen as 1 of the top3, is of course, an inspiration to keep going on my art journey, and enjoy crafting. I have been joining in the Indigoblu challenge lots of times, and always hoped to be chosen, and then suddenly it happens with a card I'm not really happy with,  LOL
Then the theme was a bit of a struggle... having only flowers, a butterfly and bubbles stamps from Indigoblu... and the theme being LET IT SNOW... I had to put my thinking caps on..
I thought of the saying "snowflakes are the flowers of winter... ",

I started with a beautiful shimmery scrapbookpaper with lots of white snowflakes on it.
I sponged it with Distress inks to make the snowflakes pop.
From a leftover piece I cut a few snowflakes to adhere it to the card later on.
I chose to keep the flowers not that intense with color, so it became part of the background.
They were adhered to the card with 3D glue.
I also added some 'Crystal Ice' ICE Stickles to the centres of the flowers and snowflakes.
Pity you can't see all the glamour and bling going on on this card.

I am entering this in the following challenge:
1. Indigoblu - let it snow.
2. Simon says Stamp - wednesday challenge - bling it on
3. TIOT - winter whites
4. Stampotique designers challenge  - SDC 176 anything goes

Ach, wat maken vlinders me altijd blij !

Dit kaartje heb ik een poosje geleden al gemaakt, tijdens de demo in de winkel "Leuke Stempels" van Hella,
This card has been made a while ago, when doing a demo in a local Dutch shop, "Leuke Stempels" from Hella (she's also got a webshop, hint).

****
HOW TO:

HOW TO:
Stamp the butterfly from Indigoblu in black on a tag, and also on the card it's going to be attached to.
Color the tag with various colors red and yellow PanPastel.
Stamp the script (Joy Crafts) in the background with Versamark, and color it with various colors red, yellow and green PanPastel. Also create a darker (almost brown) color by going over the green with red, and vice versa.  (Colorwheel!)
Add some white accents with a white Molotow marker.
Attach fibers to the tag, in the colors of the tag.
Adhere it all to the tag as shown.

Challenge yourself with a theme: "From your heart"

If you don't have a stamp with a heart from a certain brand, you have to be clever...LOL
This is a one-layer card. I used a custom-made stencil to sponge the heart over the heat-embossed alltime-favourite stamp. Then color the flowers inside the heart. Give some touches outside too, to make it a whole.

****

This was my first take on it, but I am not really happy with it. BUT, as I promised myself that I show everything on my blog... here it is...

I am entering these two cards in the challenge on:
1. Indigoblu challenge - From your heart
2. Simon Says Stamp - use twine or string.
(There's twine on both cards)
