 .. at Rubber Dance!

My take on the moodboard this month: 

.. an art journal spread, in my gelliprinted journal.

Grungy Stuff and Christmas !? for Rubber Dance

This card is done in a style I don't do often. The big star and the circle gave me an idea: creating a christmas card with non-christmas stamps.

The background was created with a roll-off of a brayer with Fresco Finish paints and infusions while gelliprinting.

It took me quite some time to figure out the composition and also the placement of the colored stamped images. 

In the end it took six stamp sets to finish the collage of stamped images. 

I especially like the look of the faux-tissue tape,
and the blue of the background peeping through. .

My Creative Monday for Magenta

The background is a leftover piece of cardstock to which I brayered some acrylic paint. I saved it as I thought it would make for a nice background.

Gelliprint plus cirkels

Op de Dutch Art Journal groep op Facebook hebben we op dit moment
een opdracht in de reeks van 'Gelliprinten en de Art Journal'; opdracht 2.

De opdracht is om een gelliprint te gebruiken in je art journal, of een gedeelte ervan en de thema cirkels ook te gebruiken.  

Ik maakte deze dubbele pagina art journal; de achtergrond is een gelliprint en de cirkels de gebrayerde restpapier van de sessie die ik deed met Fresco paints van Paper Artsy al een poosje terug.   

Stempel van de tekst is van Magenta, de afbeeldingen en script van tissue papier van Ranger.

Just a note to say Hello...

Zelf een collage maken van meerdere stempels: stempelen, maskeren en weer stempelen.

Hier heb ik het gestempeld op een achtergrond van gebrayerde Distress Oxide inkten.

De stempels zijn van Impression Obsession,
de Floral Heart set en de Butterfies and Blooms set voor de tekst. 

Hier heb ik het gestempeld op een achtergrond 

gemaakt met sprayinkten op een zelfgemaakte 

stempelkussen, en dat dan afdrukken op papier.... 

in dit geval papier met een lijntje erin, 

wat ook weer een mooi effect geeft.

De stempels zijn van Impression Obsession,

de Floral Heart set en de Butterfies and Blooms set voor de tekst.

Breng een aantal kleuren distress oxides aan op een Gelliplate; spray met een heel klein beetje water. Brayer erover om de kleuren iets te mengen.

Maak een achtergrond door Distress Oxides op cardstock te brayeren. 

Gebruik deze achtergrond nu; uiteraard kun je het inkt op de Gelliplate goed gebruiken voor nog een achtergrond oid. 

Leg de stencil Eye Contact van Visble Image erop en spons met Distress inkt Ground Espresso. Draai de stencil om en spons een 2e oog zoals op het voorbeeld.

Maskeer het oog en stempel eromheen met Stazon Timber Brown met de script van de Stampers Anonymus Entomology set, en ook een insect ervan.

Breng kleur aan in het oog met aquarelpotloden. Breng witte accenten aan met een acrylmarker Extra Fine Point van Sharpie.

The first range is without the added blue... which one you like most? I love the white one, without the blue on the snow and in the sky most...

Monoprinting - my new (good) addiction...

I had so much fun doing some (more-than-100-pages) monoprints in two sessions, on Monday and Tuesday!

It was so much fun.

I made some more yesterday, trying out some other types of paints/inks. I

must say, I like working with acrylic paint (and water!) most!

NOTE - These are all real monoprints, printed once, not a lot of layers...
