Anything but a card..

 ... for Make My Monday. 

I made a canvas for a show for Kadocato, showing the customers some of the masking tapes. 

Fancy edges...

 .... at least 3 of them, that is the new challenge at TIOT!  Come join us in the fun!

 

The edges I've been using were to make the background; a torn edge, an edge from a college book, and one from a punch. To accentuate the length of the diecut flower I added the torn edge vertically. To finish the card off: the edge with holes, ánd the distressed edge of the card in a whole with a paperdistresser!. 

6 'fancy' edges... LOL 

You can't say I haven't been playing!

Sunny tree...

Not really happy how this one turned out, but it will have to do (LOL). I promised myself to show all of my creations; sometimes they don't turn out as you would like it. 

Niet helemaal tevreden met deze kaart, maar het moet maar LOL. Ik heb mezelf beloofd dat ik 'alles' laat zien, soms wordt het gewoon niet wat je ervan verwachtte! 

 

The colorscheme is bad, I know, but there are some parts of the collage I do like. 

One thing is for sure - the tree is a beautiful stamp! 

Het kleurenschema is echt slecht, ik weet het, maar toch zijn er wel gedeeltes van de collage waar ik wel tevreden mee ben. 

Een ding is zeker - de stempel van de boom is een die uitnodigt om er meer mee te doen!

The challenge at ART JOURNEY..

... is a color-challenge this time - blue and green. The basic card has been made on a make-and-take at Art Journey in blue colors; I added the greens today, and also the stamping around it; this way I gave it a little bit of my own.
De uitdaging deze maand bij Art Journey is een kleuren-uitdaging - blauw en groen. Het basiskaartje met blauwtinten had ik een keer gemaakt op een make-en-take bij Art Journey; groenen zijn vandaag toegevoegd, en het stempelen eromheen; heb er zo een beetje mijn eigen draai aan gegeven.

A flowery tag!

    

I made a tag today!

I started by brushing on some gesso to the tag, as a base-coat, trying not to cover the entire surface. With a brass stencil I added texture on the left bottom side with some texture paste. I attached pieces of text (stamped on blotting paper) with decoupage glue. I stamped some words to cover one side of the tag. I colored the tag with watercolorcrayons, and to blend it, painted it with watered down gesso.This step makes the background less definite.

I stamped the flowers twice with a darker black, and multiple times with a lighter black, all done with masking the flowers of course.

I coloured the flowers with watercolorpencils.
