Beautiful drawing of a Physalis....
... by DT member Carole!
I LOVE it.
The background I've made by first glueing strips of tissue wrap (with the Remembrance stamp stamped to it). When dry I tapped some Nuance powders to the background, and painted over it with water diluted gesso.
I heat embossed the image in clear after stamping it with black archival ink. I watercolored the image with Nuance powders. After it dried, I added some more Nuance powders in the background, yellow and oranges to be precise and spritsed them with water.
I sponged in the background with two stencils (leaves and circles) with dried marigold distress ink, and heat embossed that in clear as well.

Playing with Minx shimmering inks – no 2 !
Today I am featuring the Minx shimmering inks again, as promised in the post Playing with Minx shimmering inks on the 26 th of November 2016.
After today I hope to do even some more in near future! I have a few more up my sleeve right now.
I've used the same colors for all the techniques on 3 projects.
For step-by-steps of all 6 techniques,
please see the Snapguide at the end of this post!

These inks are so versatile, for making backgrounds,
but also for using with bleach,
use with heat embossing as a resist,
coloring images,
watercoloring,
to stamp with,
and splattering.
To go short, just PLAY with them!
All products used are from Art Anthology, except for the stamps (Geranium from Unity Stamps and background stamp from Katzelkraft)

This is part of a fabric paper background I've created.
I LOVE what the stamping adds to it, it binds it all together ..

I've added some white accents with a white acrylic marker to stamped images. The stamps used are all from Paper Artsy.
Go play in the challenge!

Just playing..
.... in my (recycled booklet) art journal with torn edges... a tiny one, approx 9 x 13 centimeters!
I played with some stencils, a stamp and an orange and blue Nuance.
I colored around the leaf with blue Nuance, using it as a watercolor. After sponging over the stencil with distress inks, I heat embossed it in clear.
I stamped script randomly, to add interest.
I used some scraps of a diecut (from Sissix) in the background.
The orange leaf is from a paper napkin.
I made the Nuance (orange) drip down the page.
I hope you like it!
I am entering this in the challenge on
1. Country View Challenges - anything goes.
