I was so happy to see how these colors make it a sunny page.

Hope you like it!

 It's going to be very difficult to give all of these pages to my daughter - I rather want to keep it myself LOL

The flowers at the bottom were stamped with the heart stamp with flowers as a collage, isn't it beautiful? The edges were sponged over a torn page from a book.

My most cherished memory of the last 20 years...

That is the theme at Magenta for the next month - come join us - prizes to be won! 

 My most cherished memory of the last 20 years will have to be my children (as I have been mariied for 25 years already, I couldn't use my wedding photo's). They are not a memory of course, as they are all alive LOL, but their childhood is a memory.

 I started off with beautiful scrapbookpaper.

 The chipboard has been covered with a piece of the same scrapbookpaper, and stamped with the same text stamp using texture paint. I punched some holes in it, and glued some white paper at the back to accentuate it.

I made the flowers with texture paste using the In The Garden Template.

I put the template back first.after the texture paint had dried and then overstamped it with the 'The world text'.

LOVE this flower stamp!

 LOVE this flower stamp - will be using it a lot! It's so versatile! And elegant!

I did the coloring around the flowers after I stamped it. I then masked it, and sponged over it. The background was one of my stash, 'cleaning up' my craftsheet after I've been using some ink for something else.

The flowers were not colored, but de-colored with some white acrylic paint, showing a little of the original background's color.

 Here I just played with gesso, and color, and of course with these beautiful stamps! I LOVE that with an Art Journal, it doesn't have to become something, you can just play, no right or wrong!

New challenge at Fashionable Stamping challenges!

This time it is 'Use masks/ stencils! '

That's not difficult, is it?

I used the mask to sponge with, and then attached it to the card, as well. Didn't want to throw it away!  The background is the leftover of an acrylic resist technique I did a while ago, didn't want to throw that away either! LOL That is why the white text is backward. Like it anyway!

Just been playing around with gesso, acrylic aints, tissue paper, heat embossing, distress inks, masking tape, stamps (of course!) to get the background.

The wooden booklet is halfway now!

The strip with red lettering LIVE LAUGH LOVE is masking tape from Kadocato...

The yellow is a fluid perfect pearls... couldn't capture it nicely with the camera!

That flower stamp has been in my stash for a loooong time, it's been one of my first stamps!

Art Journal with some bookpaper !

I used some maps bookpaper to create this huge Hydrangea. The background has also been covered with the same bookpaper, with torn edges,  and after that I stamped the Hydrangea with black solvent ink, colored it with watercolorcrayons.  I covered that with watered down gesso, so the maps paper and hydrangea are more undefined.
I LOVE working with bookpapers, it give such depth, so many possibilities...

Today the second version:

The irish blessing was stamped with a solvent ink. I stamped the flowers with versamark, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Le "Irish Blessing" a été étampé avec une encre solvant. J'ai étampé les fleurs avec de l'encre versamark et embossé avec de la poudre blanche.

I colored it with PanPastel, I like the soft coloring.The only stamping is the postage stamp (Hero Arts)!

Try It On Tuesday - Let's get inky! NEW DT for me!

  I've been asked how I made this -so adding it now : 

I started with some scrapbookpaper. I stamped on it, colored the images, and as you can see from the labels of the post,  I've been sponging with distress inks, applied some Gesso through punchinella, added some tissuepaper with text on it with decoupage, and kept messing around until I was happy with it. 

Most of the times I don't remember how I made it afterwards- it's one of a kind! Won't be able to get it twice the same!

YES, that's right, I am on the DT for TIOT also now, I've been entering in their challenges for a long time; time to get involved LOL 

' Let's Get Inky' is the challenge this fortnight.

 The droplets are real glass beads.

 I bought them in a little shop in my hometown. 

They were made by prisoners in the second world war somewhere in Asia. The shop-owner received it as a gift from an old man, and he had told her that he has been making them during the war.  Handmade!

To get them to reflect the light I adhered them to aluminium tape. Aren't they pretty?
