The droplets are real glass beads.
I bought them in a little shop in my hometown.
They were made by prisoners in the second world war somewhere in Asia. The shop-owner received it as a gift from an old man, and he had told her that he has been making them during the war. Handmade!
To get them to reflect the light I adhered them to aluminium tape. Aren't they pretty?
