Art Journal page - Summer

I really LOVE to mess around in my Art Journal! Gesso, watercolor pencils and distress inks are within reach then! I so much enjoy using watercolor pencils (I've got the Faber-Castell brand - they are really the best as far as I am concerned!) They're so easy to use.......and,
TIP! .......applied onto gesso, you can really play with them, as the color does not sink into the paper, it's easily muted then, or sprayed with water etc.
I use them on most of my creations!
One 'new' product from Faber Castell I'd really like to try in particular, are Gelatos. Because the prize for the challenge on the FABER-CASTELL blog is a set of Gelatos, why not try and win them? I LOVE using/playing with new products!
It might very well turn out as an all-time favourite. As you might know, creating backgrounds is something I enjoy, GELATOS will be just what I need in my creating process!

The flowers have been cut out of Scrapbooking paper; if you look at the close-up you will see tiny little sunflowers.

I am entering this in the challenge on:
1. FABER-CASTELL -  'favourite summer memory'.
I always enjoy doing the garden and enjoying the flowers, being outside, in the sun...... that is the most precious I enjoy every summer!
I've used Faber Castell watercolor pencils to color the flowers and the sun, and to accentuate those same colors in the background, to give balance to the whole.
The dutch text says - "Everything has more beauty in the sun" !
2. Art Journal Journey - 'less is more'

STAMPS USED:
Flower - PSX
Script - Magenta
The sun is not a stamp, but drawn.

  6. Stunning page and I adore those beautiful sunflower stamps. Great colours too!

As to your question on my blog (and thanks for the visit of course)how to keep the photo clean, yes you cover it with a baby wipe or some kitchen roll, of if you are going to do a lot of spraying, even both.
