Fragile!

Hi all Art Anthology fans,

I have a project today that I've started during my vacation... dried stems and flowers to make some home-decor with. They've been waiting, together with the gesso-primed MDF in a droplet-like shape.

To see more... please visit the post on the Art Anthology website, as I have to go to a meeting in 10 minutes' time and can save some time by not writing out the post here as well. Art Anthology has a Wordpress site, so I cannot just copy and paste text to Blogger.. ..

a sneak peek:

I hope to see you on the Art Anthology blog.. there's also a step by step in a Snapguide!
...AND please leave me a comment there if you get inspired! Thanks, it's much appreciated.

Soap bubbles everywhere..

Using Nuance for a background is always fun. The soap bubbles add to the background.

Altered art?!

A little gift .. .as a thank you to a friend.
The feathers are from chickens from this friend.
I made this during our holiday... with found feathers at our accomodation.
I scored the bread board and the pebbles during one of our outings to thrift stores.

Easy to do .. on any surface or any substrate.

I (Ellie), would love it if you would take the time to have a look at the step-by-step in the Snapguide;
just for you AA fans...

Check out How to Do an Easy Altered Art Project With Found Objects by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

...  and be inspired of course!

Please show us what you've made on our

The project in an early stage:
(LOVE these stencils!)

AND a close-up of the finished project:

AND a few pictures of the finished project on the wall.

Enjoy!

I made a lot of different pictures, because I knew I was not going to be able to photograph this at home. Here a funny one: the project with a lot of glass pebbles and tissue wrap, to get you in the mood! (grin)

Enjoy your day, and happy crafting until next time!!

Remembrance ...always!

I stamped the (own design) script in black, let it dry and then moved the card slightly (up and to the right) in my stampingtool; then heat embossed it in white. To not get the white embossing on top of the foliage, I brushed the white embossing powder off the image before heat setting.

Echinacea..

Rudbeckia is one of my favorite flowers
!
Playing with Nuamce on the gelliplate is always fun.

I do not know which colors I've used, as I did not clean the plate during printing a whole bunch of backgrounds.
That's part of the fun, as the outcome will be unpredictable .. tiny bits of color appear where you did not expect them to be.

To be able to stamp the flower stamp twice, I masked the first stamped part. Masking has been done as well to be able to stamp the script.

Playing with Minx Shimmering Inks - no 6

Remember these posts Playing with Minx -4
and
Playing with Minx - 5

Remember that, on an old table: using a bucket of water and paper, and of course ... Minx,
I created a whole bunch of backgrounds??

Today's post features the beautiful vibrancy of the Minx Shimmering Inks.
The background on canvas paper.. still wet but drying in the sun!

Later on, I discovered that I must have dropped some water on it by mistake, as it had more drops than showing on this photo... that's part of the fun!
I had to be everywhere, because the robot lawnmower wanted to mow over my backgrounds sometimes, hehe.

I wanted to enhance the drops, so I did not cover it up, but overstamped and used the background as part of the images.
Don't forget.. there is a Snapguide at the end of this post, showing the steps to achieve the finished card.

A close-up: watch the droplet... with the inks all pushed to the edges of it. I think that's magic... I couldn't have painted it that way!

Now for the second background:  very different paper, but a beauty too!

I cut it to size...

... and created this:

I sponged these tiny dots from the Lotus Stencil around the edge.

...for step-by-steps of this second card too, please see the Snapguide.
