A project I worked on.. no.2

I loved working on this one!! Didn't think I was going to, because this wouldn't be a theme I would choose. I really had to think hard, but it turned out OK, I think...

I bought this stamp second hand, but it has never been used

A project I worked on..

I'm not a fan of Alice in Wonderland, but I have to show this project I worked on a while ago. ..
This project was very tiny. The stamp I made using a picture form Alice I found on internet. I adhered it to a real postage stamp,  that way the edge looks real...

I entered this in the Hero Arts Challenge of June..

SORRY this one is going to be published

That embellishment I made with white Fimo clay, stamped in it with the text stamp from Hero Arts. After baking the clay I colored it with Lumiere acrylic paint (Halo Violet -gold). Once it was dry, I painted it with a black acrylic paint, and wiped it off with a damp cloth. For the goldish shimmer on the embellishment I just rubbed a little bit Lumiere Gold over it with my finger until I was satisfied.

The background was done with various colors of distress inks on the craft sheet. Then ink your Hero Arts stamp with the inks on your crafsheet, give it a little twist to blend the colors a bit, mist the stamp with a little bit of water, and stamp it on your cardstock.

A day of stamping with ...

A day of stamping with Jolande.

We had a good time, making all sorts of backgrounds and playing with Distress inks on a craft sheet, a few weeks ago. This was one of them.... the others, which I still have to finish off, will follow soon!

I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge.

Masking and sponging with an image - the answer...

Yesterday I showed you a card on which I sponged  -
I used this image as a mask (to sponge over it), upside down of course.
I was going to use it as the background for this image, but I felt it turned out so beautiful, so I decided to make a second background- the one I used for this card.
I think these cut-out images make the most beautiful masks - don't you think so too?!
