Card with monoprinting

 

How to make the background:

Put some acrylic paints on a baking mat. Make some squiglies in it, and

put your CS in the paint. Lift it off, leave it to dry. Make a frame with

some post-it notes and sponge the background with several colors of

distress inks.

LOVE this old train...

This train reminds me of the train that came through Hekpoort once a

day. 

Hekpoort is a small village in South Africa, where I grew up. 

It's the most beautiful place in the world!

I actually found a picture on the internet, of the 19D 4-8-4 loco at Hekpoort, taken in May 1983 with the daily trip from Pretoria to Magaliesburg. I lived in Hekpoort until the end of 1981.
Isn't this nice?????

Challenge The Stamp Man - 'embellish it"

This is something very different to what I normally make.

I tried doing some metal-art. I made about 4 cards from a sheet I did. Don't know whether I will be doing more, I might, as I do like to doodle into the metal.

This is the cover of a small notebook, about 10 x 10 centimeters.

 

A close up of the beautiful dragonfly stamp, it's one of my favorite Katzelkraft stamps!

I made the background a while ago!

I stamped with gesso on watercolor paper, and sprayed it with colorwash straight away, while still wet. Pssst....  The gesso stamped image isn't a Katzelkraft stamp, but I do like the effect! Beatrice, I need a stamp with big letters!! LOL

Katzelkraft "Véhicule" tag

I might just speak french one day, being on the Design Team for

Katzelkraft. LOL

Most of the times I don't understand a word on the DT Facebook page.

Luckily I am not the only one....

I just assume that when other DT members post a french message, I

don't need to know what it says... hehe

This transportation set of stamps is just my thing, didn't expect that
though LOL

I stamped the brick wall with gesso. and with some distressi inks.

I started with a piece of scrapbookpaper, although you wouldn't
recognize it after all the distressing etc.

I am entering this in the challenge on HEart Journal 2012, with lots of beautiful techniques!

12 months long! 

For January, we are to use Masking tape, and as a finish, wire!

It's a pity you can't see the shimmer on it, and the gold pearl-ex on the higher parts!
