Still time to enter in the challenge on TIOT!
The challenge is to create something with some texture!

I had messy fun altering this tin!
I first glued some blotting paper to the tin, with gel medium from Golden. Then I added pieces of fabrics, and some ordinary flowers to it, also with gel medium, the centre of the flowers are beads. Then I painted everything with gesso, and sprayed with glimmermists.

I then decided it was too dark, too monotone, and added some white acrylic paint to
make it pop,
Now I don't know which of the two I prefer, LOL.
I am entering this in the challenge on
1. Make My Monday, which is also texture.
2. The Artistic Stamper - alter something

This looks fantastic Ellie! I like both of them too...though, the second one has a certain vintage charm to it that I like.

Fabulous altered tin, both look fabulous, but the added white does make the embellishments 'pop'

Totally stunning Elly! Wow, the textures are amazing! Both versions are beautiful but the second with the added white I like even better, it just adds that extra something, really amazing, totally LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteA stunning alteration Ellie, the textures are amazing. It would be hard to choose between them both, love the colouring.

I love the vintage feel you acquired. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWauw, dit daagt mij uit om ook aan de slag te gaan. Ikzelf blijf eerder naar de eerste ( donkerdere) versie te gaan maar de tweede is ook prachtig.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful project, I like number 2 the best, thanks for joining in with our texture challenge this week at Make My Monday
