Enjoy the Art journal page of 18 x 25 centimeters I've created.
It has some history on it, good memories (not mine, lol)
from way back in time, 1957.
That year my parents immigrated (from The Netherlands) to Brazil with their only child at that time, my sister.
In those days the journey meant leaving their family behind, and leaving their beloved one's lives forever. They took this journey by car / ship..
I started with a bookpage from an atlas adhered to my art journal page
and covered it with a few layers of gesso.
Then I added some elements,
the clock - way back in time
the car - the way they traveled on land
the year - 1957 being the year they emigrated
a property ticket - to make it personal with my surname on it...
I added some stenciling with structure paste, a frame around the car, 2 anchors and fish nets - traveling the seas ....
I added color with Distress Markers.

Een prachtige pagina Ellie, tof met die atlaspagina als achtergrond ! Wow, jouw ouders hebben nogal avonturen beleefd, nu is reizen iets van niks, maar in die tijd was dat spannend ! Groetjes, Enny
