Rubber Dance - Flowers Gone Wild
A few weeks ago I had this post on the Rubber Dance blog:
Mixed Media, difficult? No.... play with your product..
These Flowers Gone Wild stamps were designed for me, hehe...
... and the Mixed Media Marks set is so versatile as far as I am concerned!!
At this stage I decided to go with the top pages from an art journal.
Why.. ??
I decided that on the greenish spread I need images stamped with a brown.
But be honest.. these flowers will basically suit any background!?
These two pages (from an art journal that fell apart) were literally used for clean up and recycle purposes:
Gesso is always my best friend to enhance patterns, and of course a white and black acrylic marker!
I stamped the images with Versafine black and heat embossed in clear.
Before adhering the 2 backgrounds,
I stamped the bubbles (from Mixed Media Marks) on the cardbase.
The new stamps are available now with 10% off until the 19th April
Play... and create!

Follow me in my process:
I had to choose one of these backgrounds to go with these fussy cut images of two of the flower stamps.
Why.. ??
I decided that on the greenish spread I need images stamped with a brown.
But be honest.. these flowers will basically suit any background!?
- The lace was used to make some beautiful gelliprints in blues and reds...
- The white pieces are leftovers from diecut images.
- Pieces of leftover washi tape.
- Some of the color is mopped up ink from the craft sheet: in the end I sprayed blue and red inks to saturate the whole background.

My Creative Monday for Magenta - Mandala collage
This stamp is so beautiful with white heat embossing and Nuance powders. To have a small focal point (the flower) could be an option, but it is beautiful without also ... .
This second card has sponged Distress Oxides, in similar colors as the first card.

My Creative Monday for Magenta - Pan Pastel on gelliplate 2
In my previous post on the 6th of April, I showed you the technique of using Pan Pastel on the gelliplate.
I share a few of the completed cards I made from these backgrounds.
I LOVED splattering white acrylic all over it....
These were some of the backgrounds I printed on the gelliplate with Pan Pastel.
They're in my stash for future projects..

A stamped book cover to 3 insert art journals I've made : I recycled the cover of the original book and divided the pages to 3 parts as the journal became too bulky.

The 3 inserts with 3 elastic bands to hold them. I covered the inserts with some white cotton, and will als stamp on these.. art journaling is always a work in progress to me.
This is book 28 in my book series.

My Creative Monday for Magenta - Pan Pastel on gelliplate 1
I played on the gelliplate with Pan Pastel..

Apply 3 colors of Pan Pastel to the gelliplate, brayer over it with a thin layer of white acrylic paint, stamp in the paint with a background stamp, pull a print from the plate onto white cardstock. Finish it off with fussy cut images.
Put a stencil onto the gelliplate, and dab Pan Pastel to the plate through the stencil. Remove the stencil; brayer over it with a thin layer of white acrylic paint; pull a print from the plate with white cardstock. You can repeat the printing part multiple times until there is no Pan Pastel left on the gelliplate.
Apply 3 colors of Pan Pastel to the gelliplate, brayer over it with a thin layer of white acrylic paint, stamp in the paint with a background stamp, pull a print from the plate with onto cardstock. Add additional colors to the print with Pan Pastel and/or watercolor pencils. Finish it off with fussy cut images.
