Art Journal page with theme - CITY

"The moon's got a smile which can light up this whole city "

 An art journal page again, for week 39 of Journal52 - In the city. 

I started by applying a coat of gesso to the background. 

Then I sponged over the gate mask from Ranger with Pine Needles distress ink. I left the mask on the page to stamp this beautiful stamp from Crafty Individuals twice and heat embossed with black. 

I put a circle mask on the page and spongef with several yellow distress inks. Now I took of the masks. 

I sprayed some water on the left side of the page, and let the color run over the 'moon'. by tapping it on the right side of the page. 

I made an edge to the page with brushed corduroy distress ink, and added a white border to it. 

The birds (Katzelkraft) were also heat embossed with black. 

I also added some color to the houses, and added a script in a lighter black ink over the gates.
