Floral Art Journal page
I've used bookpaper as the base for this page.
The paints used are Fresco Paints from Paper Artsy.
I am entering this journal page in the following challenges
1. Memory Box - floral
2. Mixed Media Place - moodboard
Book 15 - for series 52
week 15 : book 15.
This time a booklet with a whole lot of inchies from watercolor paper..
It measures 4x4 (pages 3,5 x 3,5) centimeters. A tiny book...
I've glued the pages to each other, and then glued the red thread into the back. (I made a 'hole' in sawing it in and to which I glued the thread)
The ends of the threads were attached to the covers, and also the back and front end papers.
The cover was part of a gelliprint with Paper Artsy Fresco paints; and adhered to a piece of wood.
Stampng has been done with Archival Jet black ink
and the stamps from
I've added white accents with a white Sharpie Extra Fine Point Poster Paint Marker

Prachtige stempel van Impression Obsession
Voor mij horen de prachtige stempels van Impression Obsession bij elke verzameling stempels! Klassiekers zijn het!
Ik gebruikte hier de Wild Sweetheart Rose van Impression Obsession.

....ja, ik heb het gemaakt op canvas papier... dat geeft altijd zo'n mooi effect !
Achtergrond heb ik gedaan met heat embossing wit, en een script en kant stempel, ook van Impression Obsession. (Cover-A-Card).

Alle kleurwerk is gedaan met , ja , Ecoline.. zo'n heerlijk product, kan niet fout gaan. Het papier eerst nat maken met een penseel en de kleur erin druppelen (ook met een penseel)
.. het water het werk laten doen..
waar het papier niet nat was, komt de kleur ook niet,
en dan krijg je van die prachtige 'highlights' in je werk.

Book 14 - for series 52
week 14 : book 14.
This time a booklet with 3 signatures in an elastic band type of binding..
It measures 10,5 x 14,3 centimeters.

I glued the print to a sturdy piece of cardboard.
The prints were done with Versafine Clair inks, they're gorgeous! The pattern of flowers is a stencil from Dyan Reaveley, and the pattern within the flowers has been done with an art printing stamp from Carabelle.
The lettering has been done with black structure paste and a stencil from AALL&Create
I've scored the spine of the booklet 5 times, to allow the signatures to fit nicely; the middle 3 were used to hold the elastic bands. The elastic bands were knotted on the inside of the booklet, so only a part of it is showing outside; at the bottom and top of the spine.
It measures 10,5 x 14,3 centimeters.

Hobbycompleet De Duif - botanical collage paper. LOVE it!
The gelliprint has been made by Anette van den Berg at the Art Specially Event last weekend. She is my teamy in the DT for Hobbycompleet De Duif in Leeuwarden. I promised her I would set this beautiful print to good use!

More Than Words - Nature & Animal theme
Nature.. yes.. that is mostly what I get inspired by.. it never fails to give me new ideas and inspiration to create.
Think of all the texture and shapes, of leaves or flowers, trees; or the beauty of the atmosphere, or the gorgeous shades of green! And animals of course.

I tried to capture a few aspects of nature on this art journal sheet in my art journal.
The left part of the 'trees' act as a curtain for the right part, giving room to let the second fox pop out of the woods.
As far as I am concerned these two foxes are up to all naughty things, so they will be caught by one leg, or all four for that matter, during their life.
Ants, butterflies and squirrels would want to see that, hehe. Just my imagination...

Acrylic paints and a mask! no 2 ..
I played with the leftover paint on the mask from this monoprint!
LOVE the effect of the waterdrops on the mask.
